Brian grew up on a small farm just south of Howells, NE. Throughout high school, he played on multiple successful sports teams, which eventually led him to Doane College to play basketball. At Doane, Brian majored in exercise science and also minored in biology. It was during his athletic training and rehabilitation experiences that he decided to pursue an education in Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic. He graduated from Palmer with Cum Laude Honors.
While at Palmer, Brian worked extensively in the rehab department as one of the sports rehabilitation interns. It was there that he was first exposed to DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization) and ART (Active Release Techniques). Then during his preceptorship, Brian was fortunate enough to spend months learning at a chiropractic clinic that included both certified DNS and ART instructors. Since then, Brian has become certified in ART and has implemented both techniques into his treatment protocols.
In his spare time, Brian enjoys spending outdoor time with his family, especially his seven nieces and nephews! He also enjoys playing in various sand volleyball and basketball leagues. Physical fitness has always been a priority for Brian, and since moving to Lincoln he has grown to like Crossfit. Using his prior basketball experience, Brian now volunteers as a youth basketball coach.
Brian's education and training have been instrumental in treating a wide variety of patients, from young children to elderly adults. Even after receiving his degree, he is working on additional certifications and attending seminars to provide his patients with the most up-to-date and effective care. While he enjoys working with patients of all backgrounds and ages, Brian's techniques and certifications make him especially skilled in the treatment of runners, lifters, athletes, and active individuals.
